On 4 October 2023, ESSACA's2023-2024 academic year got underway at both ESSACA Yaoundé andDoualaville-Labo in Douala. The event was officially marked by the ritual Backto School Ceremony, during which the Executive Director set out the year'sorientations and the teachers introduced the new entrants, who were welcomed bythe entire ESSACA community.

<< Discipline, Consistency& Excellence>> were the key words of the traditional ceremony speechby Executive Director Jean-Jacques KOTTO, which was immediately followed by thestart of the "integration week".

As usual, this year's integrationweek featured a number of educational and fun activities and workshops.  On the menu this year were the Office 365digital refresher workshop, the Top Archi workshop including origami, thedrawing workshop on the International Union of Architects' theme for the year -architecture for resilient communities, the travel diary shared by studentsreturning from the previous academic year's mobility programme, and outdoorgames and outings.

The objectives of building theconfidence of new arrivals and familiarising them with the campus and formerstudents were so successfully achieved that links were forged from thepreparatory class to the Masters cycle, auguring well for the success of theacademic year.
